Our Delivery Policy
We work with North America's leading delivery providers to give you fast and reliable service. Just indicate the delivery address when you check out and we'll send you an e-mail to confirm the receipt of your order, inventory status, expected delivery date, and shipping costs. For your protection, we require a signature at the time of delivery. On large truck shipments the courier will notify you by telephone how to obtain your order. You may need to make special arrangements for a tailgate truck delivery or fork lift, boom truck etc., depending on the size of shipment and the access to your shop. These types of delivery will always have extra costs so make sure you confirm this with the courier service prior to delivery arrangements. If delivery service is not available to your door you may need to make other arrangements to pick up your order at the courier warehouse closest to your shipping address. For small parcels, a notification of delivery will be left for you, if you are not in at the time of delivery.

Delivery of large items to customers in certain remote locations may not be possible. In these instances, a customer service representative will contact you to discuss the handling of your order.

Delivery Costs
Your delivery cost will be based on the size, weight, destination and speed of delivery service. Delivery charges are itemized on your Sales Receipt. The shipping charges that we charge to you are to your closest courier warehouse only, and would include a normal truck delivery to you if your location is close enough to the couriers warehouse and you have the proper loading facilities. All other special delivery arrangements will be charged extra. If you return an item from your online order to Canadian Woodworker store, the item must be a pre-paid delivery and in original packaging and condition! If you prefer to use your own delivery service instead of our courier rates please advise us prior to processing your order.

How to Track Your Order
Before we ship your order, we assign a "Tracking Number" to the shipment. The tracking number, the name of the delivery service provider, and their phone number appear on the Shipment Confirmation which we e-mail to you at time of shipping. You may also be able to track the shipment yourself on the delivery service provider's web site. In this instance we will also provide the web site information. To see at what stage your order is at, just click on the Your Order icon for an update.

Order Cancellation
Please call Customer Service toll-free at (1-800-665-2244) or send an email to feedback@canadianwoodworker.com to check the status of your order. If your order has been shipped, we cannot cancel it. If you have ordered custom machinery or machinery that is being manufactured just for you, we cannot cancel your order or payment once your order has been processed into our system

Payment Options

If you wish to send a check or money order, we will accept this, but we must allow two weeks for it to clear the banking system, before we will ship your order. If for some reason there is a delay in shipping your order ( temporary lack of stock, etc.) you will be immediately notified. In some circumstances where an order is placed by you for equipment to be customized to your requirements, or is being manufactured just for you, a deposit, or payment in full, may be required prior to manufacturing. You will be notified of this prior to us processing payment.

Pricing

All prices quoted on the product pages of canadianwoodworker.com do not include shipping charges or taxes.

On our USA site, all prices quoted are stated in U.S. dollars and include all duties, customs charges and brokerage. We do not charge any government or state taxes in the U.S. and cannot collect them from you. If you wish to forward these taxes directly to your government agency you are most welcome to do so.

On our Canada site all prices are quoted in Canadian funds. The 7% GST is the only tax we will charge to most of our Canadian customers accept for Manitoba and the Maritimes. Manitoba customers will also be charged the 7% PST and customers from the Maritimes will be charged the 15% HST instead of the 7% GST where applicable.

Our School Of Woodworking classes are all in Canadian funds.

Backorders
It is inevitable that sometimes we will run into backorder situations do to manufacturer schedules, shipment delays, and product demands. If this occurs you will be notified immediately of the situation for you to make a decision on the status of your order. No payments to us will be processed until the shipment is ready to be shipped to you. Returns and Exchanges
Returns and exchanges of new, unused products may be processed at Canadian Woodworker. Simply return the product, in its original condition and packaging; with the official sales receipt you received with your purchase. The shipment must be made via pre-paid freight! You must notify us of your intent to return the product, prior to shipping, so we can give you a Return Authorization Number to put with the shipment. We will also need to know the shipping method you have chosen and the approximate arrival date. Upon receipt and inspection of your shipment we will immediately credit you by whichever means you originally paid for the goods. (If you paid by visa we will credit your visa account, etc.)


If the product you order online arrives broken or damaged, please immediately e-mail feedback@canadianwoodworker.com or call the Canadian Woodworker store at 1-800-665-2244 for us to make an insurance claim and make arrangements for repair or replacement.

Warranties
If the product is defective, the manufacturer's warranty applies. Most of our manufacturers offer a one or two year warranty on their products. You can check the warranty details of any online product by looking in the product description located on the display page of each of the on-line products.

We stand behind what we sell. If you need to make a claim on the manufacturer's warranty, please e-mail feedback@canadianwoodworker.com or call 1-800-665-2244 and we will make arrangements with the closest warranty depot to rectify the problem with the item.
