Designed specifically for routing signs, these CMT 849 series router bits have 60° cutting edges, an 1/8-Inch radius and a 1/4-Inch-wide flat bottom. This profile allows you to create striking effects for sign making while eliminating undesirable chipping and splintering. By putting bevel edges on the raised characters of relief lettering you reduce the possibility of splitting the lettering, which often occurs when producing square relief effects. Bit is equipped with 2 Hi-Density carbide-tipped cutting edges for long-lasting cutting performance, features anti-kickback design to control the depth of cut and PTFE-coating to prevent pitch and resin build-ups. available in either 1/4 inch or 1/2 inch shank.
(On optional 1 1/8″ x 1/2″ bearing can be purchased for the 1/2 inch shank bit for template work)
