CMT Dado & Planer Router Bit

Description

Constructed with thick carbide tips and downward shear angle design, this bit gives you flawless performance. The CMT 852 series of Dado and Planer bits feature a negative shear angle of the cutting edges which pushes the wood fibers down as they cut, allowing you to rout perfect flat surfaces like hinge mortises or live edge slabs with no splintered edges or rough bottoms. These bits are also excellent for use as a spoilboard cutter on smaller CNC routers. It also makes an easy job of piece work in both natural wood and wood composites. These bits come with 1/2 inch shank and are available with bearings mounted to the shank of the bit for following template work.
