Pfeil Brass Head Carvers Mallet

Description

The Pfeil Brass Carving Mallets use Cherry handles which extend through the brass head for durability and comfortable use. They are designed to provide precise controllable impact, without rebound on a carving tool, while being easy on the wrist and elbow. They are very well-balanced mallet which are not for striking or making deep cuts but rather for lightly tapping when making very controlled detailing cuts. The MK450 is a 1 pound (450g) mallet with an overall length of slightly more than 7-1/2″, with a head diameter of 47mm (1.85″). The MK700 is a 1.54 pound (700g) mallet with an overall length of slightly more than 8-1/2″, with a head diameter of 49mm (1.9″).
