The CWI-TT6-M2 chisel set is an advanced performance set of chisels for turners looking for longer service life and superior edge holding capabilities over standard HSS chisels.  These chisels have been made from M2 high-speed steel which has been cryogenically hardened to last a lifetime. Cryogenic hardening is a technical process, where the steel is cooled down to -185°C after hardening, resulting in an edge that will last up to 5 times longer than conventionally hardened high-speed steel. The blades have a super fine cutting edge with reduced burr formation, which results in a clean, smooth finish and a superior feel in use. With European black ash handles, distinctive silver ferrules and handle detail, this set will look great in any woodturner’s shop, balanced well for a comfortable turning experience. The blades are remarkably fast and easy to sharpen, as they allow you to remove less material to produce a perfect razor sharp edge. The blades are hardened to HRC63-65 and are ready to use, having been beveled, sharpened and polished right from the factory. These beautiful M2 Cryo chisels offer extra-long 320mm (12.59”) handles for comfort and stability with the laser etched steel chisels measuring from 170-220mm (6.5″ to 8.5″) in length.
