Description
If you work with plenty of HSS steel, look no further than the SB-250 Blackstone Silicon.
Woodturners and others who use high alloy steels can sharpen more efficiently. The SB-250 Blackstone Silicon can sharpen your HSS and has adjustable grit between 220 and 1000 grit.
The SB-250 Blackstone Silicon can endure your hardest steel. The SP-650 stone grader can allow the wheel to sharpen at either 220 or 1000 grit. It can sharpen effectively at low temperatures at RPM. Trust the effectiveness of the SB-250 Blackstone Silicon for planer blades, woodturning chisels, and more tools made with high alloy steel.
Why SB-250 Blackstone Silicon?
- More efficient sharpening of HSS and other high-alloy steels.
- Adjustable sharpening characteristics equivalent to between 220 and 1000 grit.
- Effective even at lower grinding pressure.
- Fits the Tormek T-8, Tormek T-7 and older models.
Tough on the toughest
The combination of grit hardness, shape and size makes the SB-250 Blackstone Silicon work efficiently at the low rpm speeds of the Tormek machine. The higher abrasiveness of the stone is especially valuable when shaping tools with a large bevel or sharpening surface where the grinding pressure is low, such as planer blades and woodturning chisels.
The SB-250 Blackstone Silicon fits the Tormek T-8, Tormek T-7 and earlier Tormek models with a grinding wheel 250 mm (9 7/8″) in diameter and 50 mm (2″) wide.
Efficient material removal, for a long time
The SB-250 Blackstone Silicon has sharpening properties equivalent to 220 grit. The SP-650 Stone Grader allows the surface of the stone to be adjusted up to an equivalent of 1000 grit. Its sharp and relatively small grits mean it sharpens efficiently even at low sharpening pressure. This means that the SB-250 Blackstone Silicon holds its shape exceptionally well over time and thus has a very long service life.
