The Rivolver CWI-WL650 is a very high quality floor model wood lathe with a 16” x 43” turning capacity built for educational or experienced users looking for a heavy duty lathe with excellent features and big performance. The Rivolver CWI-WL650 is powered by a very strong 2 HP motor which drives a poly flat groove belt in three different speed ranges infinitely variable from 45 to 3750 rpm. The motor is actually a very power efficient three phase motor hooked up to an electronic digital inverter which changes the input power to standard 220-volt single phase but more importantly allows very powerful and accurate adjustment of the speeds without losing torque. The inverter allows users to still have full power at very slow speeds to tackle the larger projects but still gives a great range of speed for higher rpm projects. There is an electronic digital readout which accurately keeps track of the speed for the user as they adjust the rotary speed dial. There is a quick release lever to easily allow the user to change between pulleys to alter between the speed ranges of 45-1000 RPM, 85-2000 RPM and 150-3750 RPM.

1500 Watt 220 Volt Motor

The Rivolver CWI-WL650 is actually powered by 6.2-amp, 1500 watt (2 HP) three phase industrial motor controlled by an advanced computerized inverter system that converts the three phase power motor to run on single phase power. This very advanced inverter system also provides variable speed and extremely strong torque control. The CWI-WL650 offers three speed ranges, infinitely variable from 45 to 1000 rpm, 85 to 2000 rpm and 150 to 3750 rpm, all without losing torque. This means even at the lowest speeds this lathe still provides tremendous vibration free control and power.

Enhanced Control Systems

The Rivolver CWI-WL650 offers a very advanced portable controller which allows for stop/start functions, simple, smooth variable speed adjustments as well as forward reverse functions with the flip of a switch. The controller is tied into the power box of the machine with a long flexible cord and a magnetic backing to allow the user to place the control in any convenient position while operating the machine, for fast simple adjustments at the tip of your fingers. Great for working on the front or back sides of the machine for special operations. There is also a digital speed display, so you always know the speed you need.

Simple Speed Changes

The CWI-WL650 utilizes a flat ribbed poly belt to transfer all that power to the spindle of the machine. To change between speeds simply unlock the robust adjustment handle and release the tension on the belt to move it to the second set of precision pulley sizes.

Indexing

The CWI-WL650 also features a robust and accurate indexing pully on the spindle assembly for specialized projects like fluting. Simply slide the indexing pin through the cast iron head into any one of the 36 indexing positions.

Full Floor Model Design

With a swing over the bed of 16” and a standard spindle capacity up to 43”, this lathe offers more possibilities in a larger range of projects to be accomplished. One unique feature of this lathe is the rotatable head stock and the included sideways tool rest extender. By rotating the headstock to an angle, you can increase the size of bowl turning capacity with use of the sideways tool rest extender to reach deep into your bowl or vase. No extra parts are required.

Versatile Drive System

The headstock on the CWI-WL650 is a standard 1.25” x 8 TPI external thread with a #2 morse taper spindle inside. These standard sizes easily allow for many standard faceplates, chucks, and centers. The tailstock also allows for #2 morse taper accessories. Included on both headstock and tailstock are convenient metal handwheels for simple tooling changes and mounting of the work piece.

Included Accessories

The Rivolver CWI-WL650 comes complete with a cast iron 6” faceplate, #2 Morse Taper four prong drive spindle, precision ball bearing driven center and a heavy duty 12” tool rest with 1” post. Rivolver also offers specially designed tool rests in optional 4” to 12” sizes and posts in 1” or 5/8” diameter to fit many different wood lathes on the market today.

Options
