CMT “Orange Chrome” panel saw blades offer amazing performance on sliding panel saws with scoring saw blades while cutting double sided melamine’s and laminate’s. Available in 10″ to 14″ sizes these blades will cut endlessly clean, quiet cuts. Manufactured in Germany the plates of these blades are laser cut with expansion slots to help run cool in the cut but the slots are also filled with special material to dampen the vibration and noise. The plates are then chrome coated for improved plate hardness and less friction for improved life. With less friction the blade will develop less heat and by running cooler there will be less pitch build up allowing the saw blade to stay sharp longer. The carbide teeth are 3.2mm -3.5mm wide and 8mm tall with a triple chip grind for extra-long life of sharpness. The teeth are set on a 5 degree or 10 degree hook angle depending on the tooth count.

A triple chip grind (TCG) means that every other tooth has a “roof top’” grind to them….two 45 degree angle grinds with a small flat top. The other half of the teeth are a flat grind for cleaning the cut. This design of tooth pattern is very strong and when used with a scoring saw blade on your panel saw will give the best clean results and life between sharpening.

The 10″ x 60 tooth, 12″ x 72 tooth and 14″ by 84 tooth blades offer a 10 degree hook angle for more aggressive cut in thin solid woods, plywood or hard plastics and can be used without the scoring blade. The 10″ x 80 tooth, 12″ x 96 tooth and 14″ x 108 tooth blades have a 5 degree hook angle designed for best results cutting sheet goods while using the scoring blades like veneers, melamine and laminates.

The 12” and 14” blades also feature pin holes drilled in them to fit panel saws with this feature. The pins in a sliding saw help strengthen the blade from twisting under the saw arbor nut and won’t allow the saw nut to be forced loose. The holes are 10mm in diameter and drilled 60mm apart center to center.
