The RB-180 Tormek Rotating Base easily rotates your machine 180° and then locks it in place. This allows you to alternate between either sharpening and honing or sharpening edge trailing and edge leading – with no effort and in just a few seconds.

Some tools are best sharpened when the stone is rotating into the edge. Other tools are best sharpened with the stone rotating away from the edge. The RB-180 Tormek Rotating Base easily rotates your Tormek 180° and adapts the direction of rotation to your needs.

The rotating base also makes it easy to switch between sharpening and honing. Honing should always be done with the honing wheel rotating away from the edge (edge trailing) in order to prevent the tool from cutting into the honing wheel and damaging it.
